Join us at The Vintage Round Top on January 13th and 14th for our Smart In The Kitchen Retreat. You'll learn how the beat the weeknight dinner rush with simple, delicious meals and weekly prepping tips to make your life just a little (okay, maybe a lot!) easier. 

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Each meal will be accompanied by a cooking lesson from Marcia Smart, a mother of three and culinary artist who has been featured in publications such as Cooking Light and Houston Magazine. You'll receive hands-on guidance for meal preparation, cooking techniques, and knife skills to help grow your confidence in the kitchen. You'll learn easy-to-make recipes covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as tips on how to create weekly meal plans that can be conquered with one trip to the grocery store. No weekend would be complete without a good cocktail, so with each meal we'll be tasting delicious cocktail recipes and local wine. There is no limit to what we can create together, and each student will walk away with the tools to continue creating and cooking simple, delicious meals long after the weekend is over! 

ABOUT MARCIA

A mother of 3, Marcia Smart got her start in the kitchen long before there were mouths to feed. After years working in the editorial trenches for several publications and websites, Marcia pursued her passion for cooking by attending Tante Marie’s Cooking School. After graduating culinary school Marcia continued to write for publications such as Cooking Light and Houston Magazine while hosting intimate cooking classes in her home. These classes eventually grew to include private group classes and lessons taught at Central Market. Marcia teaches a variety of students from beginning moms learning to cook for a family of 4 to groups of friends wanting to relax with a wine night while trying out new recipes!

In your downtime, we encourage you to explore the town of Round Top where you'll find charming shops and art galleries around every corner.
