BBSM 2021 SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT: ALEXIS GARRETT

Californian Alexis Garrett is one of the two featured Interior Designers in the Fall 2021 Business, Branding, & Social Media Workshop. Her fast-growing firm focuses on bespoke projects from the ground up. Not unlike our own modern vintage style at The Vintage Round Top, Alexis leans toward vintage and character that still manages to be tailored and refined. What really makes Alexis unique is the intentional business choice to start with clients at property concept through construction, working through the build phase, creatively (and effectively) finding design solutions, and finally installation and final touches. In short, a partner every step of the way, which means close relationships, managing opinions and personalities, and thorough project management. Selectively on a limited basis, the business goes beyond residential to retail and hospitality.
FUN FACT: Alexis keeps an inspiration file of magazine tear sheets or things she’s printed from the internet. She told us that she had saved an image in 2018 of Shea McGee speaking at one of our past BBSM in-person workshops. At the time she printed it, her thought was to one day attend it. Instead, in 2021 she was asked to speak at it. What a full circle moment! It just goes to show you hard work, perseverance, along with Living With Intention (our motto) can create all kinds of new and unique opportunities.
We loved our conversation with Alexis when we talked to her about the topics she’ll be speaking on and cannot wait to share all of the stories and nuggets she has to offer. She’s a wealth of knowledge, a kindred spirit, and one heck of an entrepreneur who uses her heart to guide her in everything she does.
