BOHO SNEAK PEEK - GREAT ROOM I
Paige Hull
We are getting closer and closer to putting the finishing touches on The Vintage Round Top's new Boho cottage! As we approach the big reveal in the coming weeks, we'll be sharing sneak peek images of the details chosen for the design of Boho.
The details in this image are a sneak peek into the great room at the Boho cottage. At 900 sq. ft., the great room includes a living room, a dining room with seating for 8-10, and 2 additional seating areas. This image shows a tiny portion of that room, and we'll be sharing more glimpses into the great room in the coming weeks.
The metallic black material on the wall is actually the same cement-plaster element used in the master bathroom. This cool new product is so versatile and creates a completely different look and feel in this application. The black coloring on this wall and the new exterior of the home are also a nod to my Scandinavian heritage. Nicknamed "Swede" by his friends, my father was full blown Swedish, and it's so special to be able to include a small piece of him in this way. I love being able to include personal details and family history in design decisions for our home.
We found two of these beautifully weathered metal chairs from Gypsy Hart Sisters for $25 each during the fall show this year! Such a steal! When we found these amazing chairs, we were shooting a shopping journal video for Reese Whitherspoon's Draper James Blog. You can watch us score these great pieces here.
Does the old railing in the background look familiar? It's the sister piece to the towel rack in the master bathroom. We're excited to repurpose this old staircase railing and will reveal where we will use it in the coming weeks.
This image represents the perfect example of Modern Vintage Style with the sleek background paired with the rusted chair and repurposed railing. This little corner of the great room represents everything we love about combining sleek, modern aspects with elements of the past.
