connect + collaborate + cultivate No. 01 - That's a Wrap
Paige Hull
We are so thrilled to have hosted our first social media workshop this past week! "connect + collaborate + cultivate" featured guest speakers Tiffany Mitchell (Offbeat + Inspired) and Travis Weaver (Manready Mercantile), two social media superstars who know how to navigate social media platforms.
Smoot and I also shared our story about The Vintage Round Top, including tips that have helped grow our businesses. We've found a passion in providing information to other's that will hopefully help them along on their journey.
Tiffany was "discovered" on social media just two years ago. With 180,000+ followers on Instagram, she is a trendsetter with a loyal following. Tiffany talked about authenticity and how your own story will connect you to your audience, no matter which social media platform is trending. She also gave advice to get the most out of your Instagram posts.
Travis Weaver's success story is built on determination and hard work. Just a few years ago he was making candles in his apartment. Today, Travis has turned Manready Mercantile into a beautiful brick and mortar, a thriving online/wholesale business, and has developed numerous branded products. His growing brand is sold by retailers nationwide and has been featured in numerous publications. Travis gave great tips on how he built his brand from scratch and turned it into a profitable business.
We followed up with a Q&A session that gave attendees an opportunity to address questions specific to growing their business and brand.
A gifted photographer, Tiffany concluded with a demonstration on styling a shot. She included tips on lighting, perspective, and composition.
And Tiffany's final shot...
Our attendees received handmade RVT swag bags filled with fabulous products. Special thanks to our sponsors: Royers Pie Haven, Philosophy, Stash Style, Lazy Bee Honey, Minted, Marburger Farm, and Where Women Create.
Our first workshop sold out quickly, but don't worry if you missed this one! We will definitely host more workshops in the near future. Of course, our new cottage will give us even more space to host these type of events! Make sure you're signed up for our newsletter to be the first to hear about our upcoming events.
