BOHO SNEAK PEEK - MASTER BEDROOM
Paige Hull
We are getting closer and closer to putting the finishing touches on The Vintage Round Top's new Boho cottage! As we approach the big reveal in the coming weeks, we'll be sharing sneak peek images of the details chosen for the design of Boho.
I'm so excited to share a little snippet from the master bedroom today! We're collaborating with Carol of Carol Hicks Bolton Antiquities to create the bedding and textiles for this special room. Carol sources and offers materials from all over the world and is one of the most talented women in the industry. The gorgeous fiber clumps come from India, and we actually used similar fibers for a previous event we hosted last spring called Tribe. We loved how they turned out and knew we definitely wanted to use them in Boho. I can't wait to see our vision come to life and am honored to work with Carol again in this way!
I found these gorgeous corbels awhile back at this amazing artist's garage sale I came across on Craigslist. I had no idea what I would use them for, but I knew I couldn't leave without them. Good thing I didn't, because these antique corbels are going to make the most perfect master bed headboard.
Side note, I have found so many great vintage finds, reclaimed pieces, garage sales, and markets through Craigslist. It's a great resource, but the key is to be safe and use good judgement.
Lastly, we created the flooring ourselves. We'd love to have used reclaimed wood throughout, but 2000 sq. ft. of it is hard to find at our price point. So, we bought new flooring, and then distressed and finished it ourselves for that perfect aged look. Special thanks to our two kiddos for all of their hours of help. They've become quite the re-finishers!
In addition to the wood flooring, we completed many of the projects for Boho ourselves. We'll be sharing more of that process after the big reveal, so hope you stick around!
