FIND YOUR TRIBE
Paige Hull
As some of you know, Smoot and I both came from creative backgrounds. I ran a modeling agency for 22 years and Smoot owned and operated restaurants and nightclubs. That's how we met.
We married, had children, and left those careers to start a construction business over fifteen years ago. That business didn't fuel our creativity, but did provide a good living for our family. However, we REALLY missed the creative world. Then, four years ago, everything changed. Round Top called our name and through this magical town, we found our TRIBE!
It's hard to put into words the impact this community has made on us. This large group of creatives, free spirits, and entrepreneurs became our friends, mentors, and colleagues. We're so grateful to God for the opportunity to work along side people that inspire us, are kindred spirits, and will be lifelong friends.
The concept of TRIBE came about as a way to honor the experiences we've had and the people we've met along the way. We wanted to provide a space for people to meet, mingle, network and be inspired by one another.
We thought about who to approach to partner with us for this type of event. There was only one on our list and it was Jo Packham, editor of Where Women Creates. She and her gorgeous magazines work tirelessly to promote creative entrepreneurs. I've been a fan of hers and the magazine's for a very long time. We were ecstatic when she and Stampington graciously accepted to help produce and promote this event.
We're equally excited about working with Cheryl and Michael Lehane from Zapp Hall and Matt White from Recycling The Past. Zapp Hall is such a fun and energetic show. It's the perfect location to put on a party!! They have such an eclectic group of vendors, food and drink options. They are sponsoring yummy light bites, beverages, and live music from the Black Cat Trio.
Matt's salvage business, Recycling The Past is second to none. He travels between his two locations in New Jersey and Round Top to provide one of the best selections of salvage in the business. We've purchased many items from him recently to use in the The Vintage Round Top addition and will be using some of his cool finds in the TRIBE tent as well.
We've also invited Kristen Hilyard Pulpan of Kristen Joy to collaborate on the tent decor. She is such a vibrant and talented women and we are thrilled to be working with her. Our amazing assistant, Erin, has also been hard at work to help us create a beautiful and inspiring space.
Collaborating with all of these people is such an honor and makes us take pause at how utterly blessed we are! We can't wait for the event to get here!
We'll be sharing a closer look at the featured artists through a segment called "Inside The Tribe". We hope you'll look out for these future posts to get to know more about these talented folks.
So, please mark your calendars to join us at TRIBE-MEET THE MAKERS Tuesday, March 30th from 3:00-5:00 pm at Zapp Hall in Warrenton, Texas. You can click here for more details.
