FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE

Smoot and I were contacted by a Russian magazine a few months ago. Initially we thought it was a joke but it ended up being a real inquiry. They used photos from a shoot done by Haylei Smith and interviewed us through e-mail. The process was interesting and humorous as things can and did get lost in translation.

I learned that I did not know a whole lot about Russia. The magazine is based in Rostov-on-Don, a vacation resort town near the Black Sea. The area is upscale, fashionable, and wealthy.

There is something very surreal about seeing The Vintage Round Top among Russian fonts. However, it’s rewarding to see our “Modern Vintage Style” can translate to any country – especially Russia of all places.   

We’re still shaking our heads but very much appreciate the international love!
