What a whirlwind week it was! The highlight was being invited to appear on Great Day Houston this past Friday. They asked Smoot and I to speak about our business, about the Round Top holiday events including the Home Tour we were on, and to give some Modern Vintage holiday decor tips. Any time we get an opportunity to pull Becki from Curious Details into a project, we do! She is a stylist and photographer with impeccable style. She's so fun to spend the day with! Above, you can see she and I starting the process of putting the example tablescape together, then posing with the final product.
Great Day Houston's theme that week was ugly Christmas sweaters. To our surprise, we were asked to join the fun as soon as we went on air. We were troopers, especially Smoot having to unbutton his before he could put it on.
When GDH asked us to put a Modern Vintage holiday tablescape together, we immediately called Kuhl-Linscomb - our go-to shop for all things cool. I pulled a mix of rustic and modern pieces to pair with a few of our French antiques. I also called our friend Natalie from Two Be Wed to use some of her mixed matched antique silver.The silver goblets are antiques we found on our recent trip to France and will be listed on our online shop next week.
