PAIGE'S PICKS: SUCCULENTS
Paige Hull
Around Spring time, most of us get the itch to dig in the dirt and plant seeds. It must have something to do with flowers blooming, bees buzzing, birds singing, etc. However, not all of us have a green thumb.
Enter: succulents! These guys are gorgeous, resilient and almost impossible to kill. They have become popular so most nurseries carry them.
Country Living Magazine features a vertical planter how-to that is perfect for a mix of succulents.
Here are a few of my favorite varieties of succulents.
1. Blue Tears Sedum - Sedum Dasyphyllum Major 2. Dudleya Nubigena 3. Blue Rose Echeveria 4. Dunce's Cap - Orastachys Spinosa 5. Hens and Chicks - Echeveria Imbricata
If you are looking for more unique varieties of succulents, it's best to visit your local nursery. They can also give you great advice on caring for these green gems. Here is great directory of nurseries to help you find one in your state.
