The countdown has begun! Marburger Farms Spring 2014 Antique Show begins in exactly 31 days. The show starts Tuesday April 1 at 10:00 AM and ends Saturday April 5 at 4:00 PM.
Smoot and I are really excited about this season's theme and the merchandise that we've picked for the "show." We've worked really hard over the past 5 months to put together a cohesive look that exemplifies The Vintage Round Top style. In addition, we've collaborated on a few exclusive RVT products that we'll unveil at the show as well.
Marburger reminds me of when I use to produce fashion shows. We would spend weeks negotiating with venues, deciding on retailers, models, music, building sets, pulling clothes, etc. - all for a thirty minute show. Of course in this "show", we are working months before instead of weeks and the show is five days instead of thirty minutes. However, the feeling and anticipation are the same. A mixture of passion, excitement, anticipation, and a little bit of fear. Ingredients that keep you striving to be the best you can be.

As I've written many times before, I'm so thrilled and thankful to get to do this with Smoot and the kids. Yes, our house is a disaster with "Marburger" in every corner. But...the alternative would be us not living our passion.
The other blessing is the people we've surrounded ourselves with. People that have helped guide us and have collaborated with us. There are many folks that fall in this category, but the three I'd like to highlight in this post are Tim and Carol Bolton of Carol Hicks Bolton Antiquities and Becki Griffin of Curious Details. All three - such beautiful and creative souls, have added their wisdom and generosity to our vision.

So, mark your calendars for April 1- 5 to come see us in Tent C Booth 10 at Marburger Farms. We hope you will come and say hi as well as visit the hundreds of other vendors that have also spent countless hours of blood, sweat, and tears to bring a selection of antiques that are second to none.
