Travel Journal - Austin

We spent an amazing long weekend in Austin!
On the way there, we stopped at a super hip boutique retreat in Elgin--only 30 minutes from Austin called Green Acres. We were greeted by these sweet alpacas and donkeys. We can't wait to come back to spend the weekend in one of these amazing yurts!
We started our Austin food frenzy at Clark's Oyster Bar, where we had front row seats to all the magic. The restaurant is owned by the same group as Perla's, another amazing place to eat in Austin.
We stopped by Raven and Lily, one of our new favorite Austin boutiques and lifestyle brands dedicated to empowering women through design. I loved everything in there. Smoot treated me to a super cool boho bracelet that I've not taken off since. I'm one lucky woman!
We had lunch at Café No Sé with our good friends Ana and Bill. Loved touring all of the amazing new shops and restaurants they've created in the South Congress Hotel. A must visit/stay when in Austin!
No filters, just God. The sky was like a live art performance happening in front of our eyes. The colors changed over and over until the last bit of color could be seen. It was the most beautiful evening!
We always visit Steve from Uncommon Objects on South Congress to see what goodies he has in the store that day. The shop is always restocked with fresh antiques that are unusual and interesting.
Revival Cycles is one of the newest shops to open in the South Congress Hotel. It's one big dose of coolness.
Although we typically stay at South Congress Hotel or Hotel Ella, we had the opportunity to test out the new Hotel Van Zandt this weekend. The view from our bathroom was spectacular!
On MLK Day, we happened on to this mural on the side of the old Cheapo Records. What are the odds? This man continues to inspire and make this country better.
Austin's preferred mode of transportation available in the lobby of Hotel Van Zandt.
The SUNROOM shop is another wonderful new addition to the South Congress Hotel complex. Loved browsing their beautiful clothing and accessory lines in this gorgeous light filled space. Not to mention their killer lighting they brought in from France.
Coffee in the mornings at Hotel Van Zandt.
Lunch at Lucky Robot Sushi on South Congress is an absolute must when in Austin.
Austin isn't Austin without some Willie Nelson. What a shot!!
