LIVE WITH INTENTION
Paige Hull
If you've followed our journey for any length of time, you know our mantra of Living With Intention is the sole reason The Vintage Round Top exists. You can read about how our causal afternoon drive turned into a lodging business and lifestyle brand here.
Today, I'm sharing another person's story about being intentional, setting goals, and putting fear aside to reach out to a stranger with an idea. Stacy Allen has been a photographer and editorial stylist for nine years in Birmingham, Alabama. She's worked with clients such as People Magazine, Southern Living, Lowe’s Creative Ideas, however had just started a lifestyle blog earlier this year.
She contacted us via Instagram about a potential collaboration to help build her travel and family content. She shared she was a bit nervous initially since we had not met before and wasn't sure how we'd react to her suggestion. Once we saw her photography style and had an opportunity to talk, we instantly fell in love with her and knew this connection was meant to be. It was even more evident when we met in person and got to spend time with she, her husband Jarrod and two ADORABLE children.
The takeaway is to DREAM BIG and REACH OUT! Collaboration, in general, is what really excites us! We thrive on the whole process of creating with others - from the projects to the friendships. We learned early on that the thing to focus on when deciding to reach out or not, is knowing the worst thing that can happen -- you might get a "no" or a "not now". We are firm believers that you should make a list, reach out with an idea, and know if it's meant to be, you'll get your YES!
For our photo shoot with Stacy, we invited our friend Travis of Manready Mercantile to bring a few of his amazing home goods he offers in his online shop, brick and mortar store, or pop-up locations. We also asked Austin blogger, Hilary Fornefeld, and Stacy's husband, Jarrod to be a part of our day. Along with our amazing team, Katelyn and Morgan, we worked together in the Texas heat to make magic.
So, without further ado, here's a snapshot of our afternoon at The Vintage Round Top. Hope you enjoy!
