OUR MARBURGER FARM JOURNEY - TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY AS A VENDOR
Paige Hull
It’s hard to believe it’s been a decade since our last vendor booth in Marburger Farm Antique Show. The kiddos were so young, and we looked a lot younger too. 😊
It was such an exciting time in our lives! We had purchased our Round Top property three years earlier and had been focusing on our hospitality business up to that point.
The property had just been featured in Country Living Magazine and we were ready to try our hand as a vendor. Getting the opportunity to do that at Marburger Farm was a true honor!
We hired Tim + Carol Hicks Bolton, two masters in the antiques + design business, to mentor us - including the incredible opportunity to travel to Europe on a buying trip to learn the ropes and bring home treasures to sell in our booths.
Upon our return, I met Becki of Curious Details, who would go on to become a dear friend and collaborator on many of my creative projects, including both of our Marburger booths.
I shared more about our Marburger booths and the story behind them in the links below.
LIVING OUR DREAM and THE FRENCH NATURALIST
We loved every second of our experience with Marburger and they became one of our go-to venues to include in events and bring our speakers, collaborators, and guests to.
Fast forward ten years later…and we’re sharing snippets of the Fall 2014 show that is in full swing and will be ending today. So, if you’re in town and haven’t made your way there yet, today’s the day! YOU CAN FIND TICKETS HERE!
A LITTLE INSIGHT + EYE CANDY INTO MARBURGER FARM:
Marburger Farm was owned by the same family since 2007 and was acquired by Brook Partner’s out of Dallas a few years ago. Brook Partner’s also owns and operates the Dallas Fashion Industry Gallery and the Dallas Art Fair.
They’ve naturally brought in more art vendors, as well as hand made and new merchandise. That’s a big change as Marburger Farm was one of the only shows that only offered true vintage and antiques. In fact, they had an antique authenticator make his rounds throughout the show.
The change has provided shoppers a larger array to choose from. I had a chance to swing by the opening on Tuesday and am sharing just a few snaps below.
Make sure to add them to your list if you are in town today.
