MY BATH RITUAL
Paige Hull
Feeling the stress of uncertainty? We are, too, as individuals, as a family, and as a business. With so much outside of our control, I'm focusing on the intentional practice of physical, mental and emotional wellness. I've come to understand more than ever that it’s a practice indeed: if you don't work at it it won't miraculously appear.
A simple moment for myself has been an attainable practice. For me, a nightly bath is my ritual to allow space for uncertainty and relieve stress. It's where I pray, daydream, meditate, design, think and on occasion, have a good, healthy cry!
This tub, in our Boho property master bathroom, is my fav tub of all time. It's super deep, spacious (made for two) and surrounded by three expansive windows that lookout to the private porch and onto a million stars at night. On a clear night, you can see forever, and on occasion, witness shooting stars (that I feel like were meant just for me).
MY BATH RITUAL
If you are already bath taker, glad to be part of the same club. For those who've not yet joined - I encourage you to give it a try. The perfect routine for me is:
Draw as much hot water as I can stand to get in, then add more periodically once my body assimilates.
Add bubble bath, bath salts, aromatherapy oil - whatever I have on hand.
Light a candle, turn off the lights.
Take a few deep breaths in through the nose, released through the mouth.
Play music (something relaxing and chill) or choose silence so I can meditate and pray.
Add a face mask or use exfoliation gloves or pads to smooth my skin and feet
Brew some chamomile tea or pour a glass of wine
Moisturize my skin
My hope is that the suggestions will bring a bit more peace and serenity into your world. And…if you are interested in spending some time in this particular tub, click below to book a stay at the Boho!
