OUR CUSTOMER FEEDBACK SURVEY RESULTS!
Paige Hull
Last week we took you through how to craft a customer survey. If you haven't already read that article, pause here and go take a quick look - we promise it's worth the read. This week we'd like to do something we've never done before... share our results with you! We'll also be giving some tips below on analyzing your customer survey and how to make the most of the feedback you've collected. But first, here's what you had to say about The Vintage Round Top!
ON WHAT WE HAD TO OFFER...
Q: Please check the box for services/products you were aware The Vintage Round Top offers.
Our brand has many facets and we were curious to see if we were getting the message across about everything that we have to offer. We also wanted to know where we should focus more of our attention to help increase awareness about the products or services that weren't ranked as high.
MOST AWARE
1. LODGING
2. ONLINE SHOP
3. SMALL BUSINESS RETREATS
WHAT WE LEARNED
With this information, we were excited to see Small Business Retreats at the top since that has been an area of our business we are hoping to expand, yet it has also been an area that we struggled with how to phrase and promote the offering. It's nice to see that our message has resonated with you all, and helps confirm that we're moving in the right direction.
Of course, we had some areas that you all weren't as aware of including our photo shoot, wedding and event offerings. We've received a lot of interest in hosting events in our home, using the space for photo shoots and hosting brides for their big day preparation or an intimate rehearsal dinner/cocktail hour. Even with the interest, we've generated to help us begin to offer these services, it's motivating to think it's a leg of our business that has room for growth and helps us redirect some messaging towards those offering to better educate our customers!
ON WHAT YOU WANTED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT...
Q: In addition to our quarterly Business, Branding and Social Media Workshop, we plan to host more frequent mini-sessions and retreats. What topics would you be interested in learning more about?
We’ve been talking about the potential to grow our brand outside of our property in Round Top for some time now We wanted to take our Business, Branding & Social Media Workshop concept and break it into "mini-sessions" that are hosted in various venues throughout Austin, Dallas, and Houston. We had a couple topics in mind and were excited to see which topics caught your interest the most!
MOST POPULAR
1. HOME DESIGN/DECOR
2. CREATIVE (HAND DYING FABRIC, CALLIGRAPHY, POTTERY, ETC)
3. COOKING
WHAT WE LEARNED
We weren't sure what to expect with this question but thought photography and creative would be among the most popular. The home design/decor option was added last minute and we were impressed to see that was at the top of the list, as that is something we are excited to put together! This helped us form our intention for these "mini-sessions" and we cant' wait to begin planning the first one.
ON HOW YOU FIRST HEARD ABOUT US...
Q: How did you first hear about The Vintage Round Top?
This is something that we are always interested to learn about because it helps guide our marketing efforts! As a business owner, you hope your customers are your biggest advocates and help aid in spreading the word about your business far and wide.
MOST REFERRED
1. INSTAGRAM
2. WORD OF MOUTH
3. ROUND TOP CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
WHAT WE LEARNED
Our hearts were so full when we saw "Word Of Mouth" as one of the top answers. We are so grateful for our guests, customers, friends, and family who share our brand with others. We also invest a lot of time and energy into our Instagram so it was nice to see that effort being validated. In the same breath, this lights a fire beneath us to get more of our brand out on Pinterest since it was among the least referred answer choices, yet it is one of the biggest social platforms to utilize for home and design inspiration. We also hope to work with more influencers this year for events, retreats and more to better help spread the word.
SOME TIPS FOR YOU!
When analyzing your survey we suggest taking it question by question and using the format above to help organize the responses. Take a minute to write out your expectations for the question before selecting the most or least popular answers. Afterwards, write down your reaction to the results and how you can use that information to grow or improve. Don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back if you see that your results validate the effectiveness your ongoing efforts.
We hope you enjoyed reading through some of our results and look forward to putting this feedback into action!
