OUR FAVORITE HOT COCOA RECIPE
Paige Hull
There's nothing better than a warm cup of hot cocoa during a chilly December night. Before heading into the holidays, we wanted to share our favorite hot cocoa recipe for you to recreate at home with your family.
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons of sugar
Pinch of salt
1 cup of cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
PREPARTION
In a small pot, whisk together the cocoa, sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons of cream over medium to low heat. Once the cocoa and sugar are dissolved, whisk in the rest of the cream and continue to stir occasionally until hot. Lastly, add the vanilla and serve with peppermint bark, whipped cream or marshmallows for your dipping pleasure!
If you like your hot cocoa frothy (like me!) pour the finished product into a blender and blend until frothy. This recipe makes 1 cup of hot cocoa but is delicious enough for the whole family!
We hope you love this recipe just as much as we do! Below, I've listed a couple mugs from our favorite makers as well as our latest addition to the shop - our Vintage "Favorite Recipes" Tin!
