THE ROUND TOP CHRISTMAS PARADE
Paige Hull
There's nothing like a small town coming together during the holidays. We have loved going to Round Top for the holidays and look forward to the annual Christmas Parade each year. What was once a daytime parade with 4 floats, is now a lighted parade at night that this year held over 50 floats! From neon trucks to reindeer donkeys to Santa's pie delivery, there was a float to entertain anyone.
With warm cocoa in one hand and waves to familiar faces with the other, people line the streets of the town square anxiously waiting for the parade to begin once dusk falls. During the day, there are tons of activities going on from the Round Top Historic Homes Tour to a bouncy house and face painting for the kids in Round Top Square. The town is filled with so much life and joy during this time and will always be on of our favorite traditions. The parade happens the first weekend of December each year and is truly a sight to see. Start planning your weekend trip for next year and come stay with us!
