ROUND TOP REGISTER
Paige Hull
Recently, we had the wonderful opportunity to talk with our friends Lorie and Katie at the Round Top Register about our Modern Vintage Life. Lorie interviewed Smoot about our background, why we chose Round Top, our hospitality philosophy, and more. We loved the questions and how the article turned out! Read the interview here.
As most of you know, the Round Top Register is a free quarterly publication that is distributed around "Roundtopolis." These ladies are amazing at what they do, and we can't even believe their backgrounds aren't in publishing! As college roommates and friends for over 30 years, they decided to buy the publication, revamp it, and run it together. We first met Lorie and Katie in Spring 2015 when they launched their first issue. We were thrilled that they asked us to be apart of it, and included us in their "Insider's Guide to the Round Top Antiques Show."
Around that same time, we asked Lorie and Katie to cohost our Social Media + Network Luncheon. Among other talented guest speakers, Lorie and Katie spoke about their journey leading to the Register and their experience remaking the publication. It was such a great time of indulging in creative community and making connections with other bloggers and small business owners.

We absolutely love what these wonderful women are doing over at the Register in spreading the word about Round Top. It's still crazy to us that so many people have never heard of this magical town. The question most of us get is "Round Rock?" They do so much for Round Top, and we're so thankful to have these go-getters in our community. A little birdie told us they may have a new magazine in the works, so be sure to follow them on social media to get more info.
