Vintage is in my blood and brings me so much joy! It provides soul, stories and uniqueness that I crave to the spaces I create, live and work in.
With that said, I’m bringing back one of my favorite blog topics I’ve shared in the past. Before I jump in, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that our property is smack dab in the middle of the Round Top Antique show held in the spring, fall and winter.

We are so pleased to share that The Vintage Round Top is once again appearing on newsstands! Our collaboration with our friends Loot Rentals is featured in the current issue of Mingle, a magazine published by Stampington & Co. and dedicated to inspiring gatherings, parties, and get-togethers. Together, we hosted an intimate dinner party for a group of fellow creative visiting the spring Antiques Show from Austin.

Growing up with a Swedish heritage, I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of natural, simple and understated decor. When it comes to the holidays, there seems to be even more of an opportunity to achieve this with forged and handmade items being the base of your styling.

It's hard to put into words how grateful we are to have hosted Emily Henderson and her team during the spring antique show. Life works in mysterious ways, as that would not have happened had we not received a cancellation the day before we got a call from Emily's team. I’d been frustrated about the cancellation, but obviously everything happens for a reason and I'm beyond thankful for it now.

When opportunity knocks, you roll up your sleeves and get to work. We had a major push to complete the final touches on the Boho build out in time for Emily's stay. We worked late nights and early mornings, living on caffeine to get the job done. We appreciate our staff, our contractors that worked round the clock, our children who pitched in and helped weekend after weekend, and our family and friends who cared for our kids while we were away. It truly does take a village!
Here’s a short recap of their stay: We had the pleasure of guiding them through the Round Top Antique Show while they stayed in our No. 1450 and Boho cottages. We were able to show them the magic of our town, give them tips on where to shop and dine, and introduce them to the show/shop owners + vendors. It was such a fun time to get to explore Round Top with them and to see it from the perspective of first-timers!

As a result of hard work and this amazing opportunity, we gained a new audience from Emily but we also gained new friends. Emily and her team were the sweetest people you could ever meet. We spent a lot of time with them and really got to know them well. Hosting Emily not only helped our business, but it also was great for our souls!

Watching Emily and her team was remarkable. They are like a well oiled machine. We're humbled by their reaction to our space and brand and are thankful for everything they've done to get the word out about us and Round Top!
We had a chance to video tape Emily during her stay. Nikki, our assistant, who owns Tripp Films, did a fantastic job of editing the opening video for us. If you haven't clicked already, head back to the top to see the short film for yourself.

We are so excited to announce that we are hosting our second event in the RVT Workshop Series! We hosted our first workshop last spring called Connect + Collaborate + Cultivate that focused on growing your brand on social media and navigating social media platforms. This year's theme is Business, Branding, and Social Media, and the event will take place on Saturday, March 25. Expect to hear inspirational stories from special guests, learn practical and actionable business tips from Paige and Smoot, network with other creatives, and gain a deeper understanding of how to grow your audience and brand.
Along with a fantastic morning of learning and networking, this is also an opportunity to see the new Boho cottage! We've built this new cottage as a way to host intimate events and retreats, so we're super excited to host the inaugural event in the new space!

A senior editor at Texas Monthly, Jordan Breal is based in Austin, but as the magazine's resident travel writer she spends most of her time on the road. And while she has stayed at more than a hundred hotels and B&Bs across the state, she has lost count of the number of slices of pie she's eaten in small towns. Her work has also appeared in AFAR, National Geographic Traveler, and Southern Living, among other publications, and she recently coauthored Wildsam Field Guides: San Antonio.
Beginning in 2012, out of a small apartment in Houston, Travis Weaver started Manready Mercantile by making soy candles in reusable whiskey glasses and selling them door-to-door to local businesses. He hit every little market possible and continued to add small batch apothecary items creating a collection of all-natural products. Word of his endeavors traveled and his story gained international attention. Travis’ vision has always been to show the world you really can start from nothing and anyone can change their stars. You’ve gotta work hard. Work smart. Be honest. And support your community. If you take the right steps and push through it all, greatness will happen! Folks, the American Dream is alive and flourishing - Manready Mercantile is proof! "Work Hard, Live Well" - T.S. Weaver
Testimonials From Past Participants:
"What better way to connect, collaborate, listen, and learn from people who are experienced in small business growth." - Mark N.
"I think the biggest thing I learned was to tell a story that's authentic to my brand. That's something my brand has struggled with, but after today I know exactly how I want to tell my brand's story and exactly what I want to say." - Tara T.
"One thing I learned today is to live with intention. There's got to be a 'why' behind what you're doing, and when you know the 'why' it's really easy to move forward in your business and branding." - Kristen P.
A light brunch and refreshments will be served, and a swag bag full of great gifts will be included! We're super excited about these two crazy talented speakers and will be revealing more panelists in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
