A DAY IN ROUND TOP - TEXAS ANTIQUES WEEK JOURNAL 2
Paige Hull
We continued Texas Antiques week visiting old friends and shopping for the addition. We always love seeing Courtney Barton (Mela and Roam). She was at The Arbors this show, and her space was filled with the most beautiful textiles and vintage finds from her travels oversees. You can also find her at pop-up shops throughout the year in Houston.
Stashstyle is one of my fav places for clothing and small gifts! I bought the most beautiful tie-dye kimono from Shannon and wanted to literally walk out with every single piece she had. She has such a great eye and is located in the cute house across from the cafe In Zapp Hall.
Tricia of Vintage Bliss always brings great industrial pieces along with lots of smalls and crafting ephemera. We met over six years ago at a flea market near San Diego. Who knew I'd have the pleasure of forming a friendship and getting to see her twice a year from that point on.
Bumped into Randi of One Fine Day Mercantile taking care of this little sweetie who had separated from it's owner. Leave it to her to be the one to come to it's rescue. Randi makes/sells super cool one-of-a-kind, colorful handmade textiles and accessories. You can find her at Zapp Hall as well as on etsy.
Our Junk Gypsy friends just released their book, Junk Gypsy Book: Designing a Life at the Crossroads of Wonder and Wander.
We are so excited for them and for everyone involved! Most of the photography is by the talented April Pizana, and it is a beautiful and inspiring book. A definite must to buy and read about their amazing journey!
Spellbound Collections never disappoints! Brandi always has such inspiring vignettes and I love the textures of her beautiful textiles. She and her husband Kevin also have a great antique show called "The Show". So glad they are permanent residents during the show. You can find them in the old Merry Christmas store right before you get to Town Square.
This is a family business, and nothing makes us happier than sharing it with our kids. Our sweet Eisley is learning the ropes and always keeping us smiling. Nikki, our new team member, was there filming us for Reese Witherspoon's brand Draper James. She was sweet to help Eisley throughout the day with her camera techniques. Here's a link to the Round Top Shopping Journal we made for Draper James.
There's nothing like the fields of Warrenton. You never know what you will find!
We were salivating over these gorgeous copper jugs in the @oldworldantieks booth. You can find them in @thecompound_roundtop or at their amazing store in LaGrange.
We fueled up after a long day of treasure hunting. Nothing beats the Texas heat like a kuhlberry smoothie from our good friends at @fuelbombs.co. Look for their Airstream in Arbor Antiques.
These fabulous yummies were from our first day of shopping at Bayberry's Antiques in Burton. Check out Bayberry's Antiques and Flown the Coop in Burton--only 10 minutes from Round Top!
