Vintage is in my blood and brings me so much joy! It provides soul, stories and uniqueness that I crave to the spaces I create, live and work in.
With that said, I’m bringing back one of my favorite blog topics I’ve shared in the past. Before I jump in, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that our property is smack dab in the middle of the Round Top Antique show held in the spring, fall and winter.

The Eisley Cottage is one of the two Cozy Cottages we added to our property about a year ago. This cottage is named after our sweet and youngest daughter, Eisley. Our kids have been a part of this journey since the beginning, so we wanted to create spaces that reflected who they are. Not to mention, they love getting to stay in their very own space when we take a weekend trip to Round Top.

Eight years ago, we decided to fully commit to Living with Intention and purchase the property that would become The Vintage Round Top. At the time, our priorities were twofold. We wanted to give our family a weekend retreat to enjoy the slower pace and simpler pleasures of country living, and we wanted to embark on a project that would allow us to fully stretch our creative muscles.

I’ve been reflecting on the amazing journey we’ve had and all the opportunities that have come along since we invested in the original farmhouse that is now The Vintage Round Top back in 2011.
Who would have thought then, that a choice to move “backward” per se to simpler times would be a source of cherished community, creativity and inspiration in the here and now.

The kitchens in both Boho and No.1450 were created with our guests in mind. We have loved watching events take shape in the space and watch people naturally gravitate towards the kitchen bar in No.1450.

This past spring at Marburger, we found these absolutely amazing aged glass panes at the Counter Culture booth, owned by Chad Kilgore. By the time we got there, Chad had already sold all of them, which was so sad! But luckily, he was able to secure a few more once he went back home to Kansas City. We were able to snag a few from this sought-after collection.

Back in its day, this vintage French sign may have served as a signal post for military traffic or a town road sign. Today, it serves as a sign post from the past with the its vintage paint and worn edges.
We found this cool sign in the French town of Marseilles, which is a beautiful beach town on the water. As we explored and took in the sights, you could really feel the soul of this old French town. It was such an incredible experience visiting this amazing place, much less being able to shop for priceless antiques there.
This vintage sign is an authentic French piece. Today there is a tremendous amount of vintage and antique knock-offs, so there's something to be said about the soul and stories carried with an authentic piece. We think this sign was used on a military road, so each man or woman who drive by it had a story and a reason for being there. That's the soul that these pieces carry with them throughout the years.
Found in the French town of Nimes, this beautifully aged "L'illustration" book dates back to 1891. From the illustrations and articles on the pages, this bound piece of French antiquity seems to be a periodical or world book.

One of the main things we look for in a Modern Vintage Style piece is the story behind it. We love to gather pieces with a heritage that can be repurposed into something new, while still maintaining the historical integrity. These sage-scented Antique Snuff Candles are the perfect example.
