THE VINTAGE ROUND TOP - TEXAS MONTHLY MAY 2016

We are honored to be mentioned in Texas Monthly's cover story for the current issue (May 2016)! Texas Monthly is one of our favorite mags, so it's very exciting to see The Vintage Round Top on its pages. Read the entire article (which will make you want to plan your summer getaways!) in the magazine, or you can read part of it here.

Our friends at Green Acres in Elgin, Wander Inn in Round Top, and South Congress Hotel in Austin were also featured in the article. What an honor to be in the company of these friends.

Special thanks to Jordan Breal, senior editor and travel writer for Texas Monthly. She has been a great supporter of me and Smoot from the very beginning. In fact, she wrote the first national feature about us in Country Living in 2013.

MODERN VINTAGE TRENDS - NEW COTTAGE SNEAK PEEK PART 1

Paige Hull

We spent the day in Round Top with stylist and decorator Becki Griffin of Curious Details, and designer Holly Mathis of Holly Mathis Interiors.  Smoot and I walked them through the selections we've made for the new cottage and event space.

Modern Vintage Trends - Part 1 - The Vintage Round Top

We set up vignettes in each room to represent the colors. style, and materials we've chosen. What a blessing it was to have these two over-the-top talented friends come by to spend the day with us.

The two Instagram posts above show a sneak peek of one of the bathroom's selections. The Moroccan tile is from Cle' Tile out of Los Angeles, and the lovely faucet is from Galveston Architectural Salvage Warehouse - yes, it's worth the drive!

We're excited to be getting to this point in the project. There are so many details to think about and to coordinate. Seeing them all come together is a dream come true!
